So the President of the FEderation has been convinced to declare martial law.
And we find out Leyton is out to take control out of his fears about the Dominion.
I’m honestly trying to find something to say about this episode. This episode is basically Sisko trying to get the evidence to take Leyton down, to return earth to the way it is supposed to be. I would basically be recounting the whole episode if I spoke more about it.
There were some recurring guest stars. Susan Gibney, who plays Captain Benton, was also in TNG and I knew her from Crossing Jordan
Overall the Homefront-Paradise Lost arc is a good one. It asks us what if our worst fears come true, but from the inside rather than some outside force. How much is protection worth? If you take away freedoms in order to protect does that mean you are doing the enemy’s job for you?
DS9 tends to deal with more political and grey area topics then the other star treks. I think it heavily influenced Enterprise’s own political themes.
