"31 Days of Breast Cancer Discovery" is a series of featuring  daily informative videos throughout the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Presented in association with Beth Israel Medical Center.  Dr. Susan K. Boolbol, the Chief of Breast Surgery,  it discusses a various topics about how you can reduce your risk of cancer and how to get the best medical treatment if you are diagnosed with the disease.

In Day 18's vide Dr. Susan K. Boolbol explains the difference between and MRI and a BSGI. These imaging techniques are for women who are at a higher risk of cancer. And MRI looks for abnormal blood vessels while a BSGI includes an injection that looks at the cells in both breasts. This test will give more information than a mammogram.
