The 4 brother band were the first music group in Afghanistan.

In an era when only the local dance and music had their listeners in Afghanistan and almost there was no music for the young class, at that time a group of Afghan youth amateur/fun band in the country laid the music foundations that encouraged people with a warm welcomeThe first group of amateur music in the years 1963 and 1964 was established in Afghanistan. The idea of the creation of this group was from Zahir Howaida & Aziz Ashna, from Afghanistan's famous artistsMohammad Kargar, Ahmad Shakir, Chatram Sani, Sayed Habib Olawi, Kabit Howaida and Younus Musiqyar was the members of this group/band.

The young 16 years old Chatram was the youngest member of the group and 23 years old Aziz Ashna was the oldest member of this Group.

The starting of this group was, along with the steps and the appearance of the Prime Minister's son Ahmad Zahir in the field of musicThe world of music gate to many of the young people was opened and then the next  amateur groups of BARAN , and four brothers were established.

Rahim Jahani, mashoor jamal zia Saraj, Shair Sharar, were from the artist who joined later to this amateur group.

Because of the warm welcome the people from this group, the Golden times for Afghan Radio (eight and a half to nine and a half dinner) after news of Pashto and Farsi was assigned to this groupThe first amateur band, with 2 years works, got a lot of fan & reputation in Afghanistan.

This is a group on radio Afghanistan were under the supervision of Ustad Zaland ,who was the most experienced artist, and because the group was an amateur music and new , it was necessary that this group went under the supervision of Mr: Zaland who had most important role in afghan music.

The song/music of BAMYAN, GHAZNI and ZOHRA were made by him with different music style of pop & Ghazal.

The Difference between amateur & Kharabat music

Kharabat music style is a bit heavy, ripe & classic & amateur  music style is modern, city music, soft and that's Especially for young generations. Also Musical instruments of the two are completely different style except TABLA/DRUM, other instruments on amateur are all modern & from various style. its mostly from western style like Piano, flute, guitar, Violin, viola & some others.

But Rubab, Harmonia, straw, 3 TAR, Danbora are from the Kharabat instruments that belongs to eastern music

The other difference between pop music and kharabat at that time was that the artists never learned music with Professional method, but they all were the teacher of themselves who loves the music & started the singing with joy & love. The members of the first group of amateur music in Afghanistan learned the music with hardworks & tireleass, sit in the heart of the people.

Members of this group have different suit dressed. The usual Western coverage. They have a sharp boot, black petlon, Kat Carmine with Golden buttons to tone.
