Akshardham is a hindu temple situated in Delhi often known as Swaminarayan Akshar Dham. The complex of the temple is the exhibit of Indian Culture of Hinduism, architecture and spirituality.  The temple was built by Pramukh Swami Maharaj with the help of sanstha’s 3000 volunteers and 7000 artisans.  The temple attracts around all of the tourists who ever visit Delhi. The temple was open for public in the year 2005. The Temple consist of 7 attraction which includes the Main Monument,  the exhibitions,  Yogi Hraday Kamal, Neelkanth Abhishek, Narayan Sarovar, Premvati Ahargruh and Aarsh Centre.  The entire main monument is built from Pink Stone which are from the state of Rajasthan.  It consist of around 234 carved pillars, 9 domes and round 2000 statues of sadhus and devotees.  The Exhibition consist of hall of values, theatre, musical fountain and garden of India. Yogi Hraday Kamal is a garden shaped as lotus.  Neel Kanth Abhishek is a place where devotees can offer abhishek to the statue of Neekanth Varni. The lake which surrounds the main monument is called Narayan Sarovar. Premvati Ahargruh is a vegetarian food court restaurant look alike of Ajanta Ellora Caves.  AARSH centre is a centre where the scholars and students conduct practical research about social harmony and other related topics.  The Temple opens from 9.30 am and closes at 6.30 pm IST.
