Autoclave is a major instrument used in laboratory and without autoclave any work of microbiology and also of medical lab technalogy is almost impossible.

These are used for the purpose of sterelization of materials and also used for killing bacteria in media preparation.

Working process

Autoclave works on the principal of high temperature and high pressure under controlled envoirnment.usually temperature of about 120 c and 10-15 psi pressure is given to samples for 10 minuts to kill all the microbes.

Handling and care

Autoclave should be handled carefully as it is very dangeriuos and can blast due to high pressure.
