Campfire - animating the short

Posted on at

After building the puppet and set in my dorm room, I finally got to do my favorite part - animate.

I animated with a Canon Rebel XS, an iMac, and Dragon Stop Motion at 24 frames per second.

Campfire Boy and I - almost finished.  You can see the replacement fire pieces I made out of painted and crumpled tracing paper.

I had to use some real fire for the final shot...

Where they are now.  I cut a section of the set to keep, so he never has to leave his fire spot.  Original storyboards behind him, too!
