CREATE - makin' puppets

Posted on at

I spend a great deal of time planning and building the puppets.  Because he has a wire armature, you want to make it last as long as possible before it breaks... because it will break.  Luckily these guys made it through the short, and only one leg broke on one of the last shots.

        Happy little armatures.

Glued on foam, sculpted with many small scissors.

Liquid latex and paint for the skin and gloves.

Resin heads, clay hair, brows, pupils, and mouth.  You can see the beginnings of the 'creature' there too.

  Finished Mad Scientist!
