 Château de Chillon is also known as Chillon Castle. It is an Island Castle which is situated at Lake Geneva at the Easter end of the lake on the narrow shore of the mountain. The Castle comprises of 100 separate buildings that are indirectly connected to form one building. The Chillon castle is the most famous castle in Switzerland and Europe. The Chillon Castle is open for people who came to visit and make tours. According to Castle website, Chillon Castle is the most famous and most visited historic monument in the world. There Parking lots available for tour buses and cars and there is an entry fee as well as parking fee for travel.

Inside the Chillon Castle, there are many rooms are available to people who come there for tours. There are four great halls and three courtyards and few bedrooms in the castle. One of the room names is Camera domini that was occupied by Duke of Savoy, and it was decorated in 14th century. The Chillon Castle history was influenced by the three major periods: 1- The Savoy period 2- The Bernese Period and 3- The Vaudois period. The Chillon Castle Was Made famous by Lord Bryon who written the poem the prisoner of Chillon. The Chillon Castle was never taken in the siege.
