Many people’s define democracy differently but ARISTOTLE and ABRAHAM Lincoln define it best Greek scholar said that in democracy the poor will have more power than rich, because there are more of them, and will of majority is supreme and Abraham Lincoln said ''The Government of the people ,by the people for the people'' it means that a common man plays a vital role in formation of government in this form of government elected representatives are answerable to public and Legislative assembly the main objective of government and political parties is that they could bring betterment and work for the welfare of public in this system all stakeholder must be function according to wishes of common man in Modern times political experts see the democratic system as a natural choice in comparison to dictatorship
Democracy is firstly invented by Greeks in the famous city Athens but it was direct democracy women and slaves were not included in it after many years Different countries adopted this and now it is most popular governing systems as we saw in Arab spring now now middle eastern countries also adopted one of most important merit of democracy is that government is changed without violence .by the help of democracy power can be transformed from one part to another by the means of elections however every government is bounded by election term after which political parties must goes into elections and regain the power
Developed countries of EU and UK and USA are the best examples of democratic countries. In democratic society everyone can be differ with another, Rights and Duties is assigned by democratic state .The citizens of state has independence of speech, writing, making any political party .Besides that democracy has also some Demerits .According to observations a common man doesn't aware of political scenario of country .a common man is not aware of political issues of society and they make wrong choice in election. Political parties some time may not focus on the working of people and focus on to win the elections. Some time elections are hijacked by foreign forces. Sometime voters is influenced by media however democracy has more merits than demerits and democracy is popular choice than dictatorship
