Today 30th September 2014 is the official day when our old and our former chatting site Orkut is about to be closed. Well the official announcement regarding the closing of Orkut was already done on 14 June 2014. Orkut was started by Google on January 24 2004, the name Orkut was given to the site on the name of its founder “Orkut Buyukotten”.

            This site was very much popular in India and Brazil this site was loved by its users. We all shared a happening bond with Orkut, there was a time when we all used Orkut and considered as our favorite chatting site.

               This site created a very special space in our lives we shared lots of pictures and videos. This site was very much popular among teenagers. There were many profiles on Orkut even they did many changes like they changed theme and all. Orkut created a good memory among all of us we all were crazy about Orkut and will always miss this site.

           Facebook gave a very tough competition to Orkut that became the reason for the demolishment of Orkut. When Facebook came that has better privacy settings and chat settings so that also attracted users towards it and now days Facebook is one of the most popular chatting sites around the world. Facebook has now created its own space and people are crazy about it. Even on Facebook many people posted about the last working day of Orkut. Orkut may not be available any longer but we will always remember how we started chating, setting status, posting images.
