Indo-Pak War of 1971 started on third of December 1971 when Pakistan launched an air strike on 11 Indian Air Bases, leading India to enter in the war of East Pakistan and West Pakistan for the independence of Bangladesh.  On the Evening of 3 December 1971 around 17:40, hrs Pakistan Air Force launched the attack and on the same evening, Indian PM Indira Gandhi addressed the nation that the strikes done by Pakistan were declaration of war. In addition, in the same night Indian Air Force stroked on Pakistan. The war last for 13 days so it is also considered one of the shortest wars. According to records around approx. 3843 Indian Soldiers died, 9851 wounded, and approx 9000 Pakistani Soldier died as 4350 wounded. In the conclusion, India and Mukti Bahini Won the War against Pakistan and Captured their 90,368 men (Prisoners Of War)  including 54,154 Army Soldiers , 1381 Naval Officers , 833 Air force Pilots, 22000 Paramilitary forces including Police, 12000 Civilian Personnel and therefore Pakistan surrender itself.  In the year 1972, Agreement was sign between India and Pakistan that in the return of their POW Pakistan will ensure the Independence of Bangladesh.
