India is known throughout the world for its foods. The Indian Delicacies add to the charm of India. Its not only the monuments and the places to see which leave a mark on its visitors, but also the Indian Food. The Indian Food and its tastes have changed dramatically from the time when Mughals ruled the Indian Soils, still the mark they left still remains. There are foods which remind of the Royal Ages - Matar Paneer being one of them.

Prepared mostly in the North Indian Homes, Matar Paneer has a special place in the Indian Vegetarian Homes. Being a part of all the major Indian Festivals and occasions, it has the same taste and aroma which the Royal Indians Left. Though the years have seen changes in the pattern of Matar Paneer, it is still the favored one.


Matar Paneer

Ingredients:
1/2 LB or 250 GMS of cubed paneer pieces
250 gms Green Peas
1/4th tsp.Red Chilli Powder
1/2th tsp. Garam Masala
5 tsp. cooking oil
1 tsp turmeric
2 medium sized cups water
Salt as per taste
Handful of finely chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing

To be ground :
2-3 onions, 1 small piece ginger, 1/2 kg tomatoes, 2 - 3 cloves, 1 big cardamom, Asafoetida - 1 tsp, Oil -2 tsp
