National Candy Corn Day

Posted on at

Today, October 30th, is National Candy Corn Day.

Candy corn is a type of candy which looks like corn that was first created in the late 19th century in Philadelphia. Halloween is the most popular time of the year for the sweet, and that is tomorrow.

The candy has a yellow end, a orange middle and a white tip, and tapers from the yellow end to the white, mimicking the actual shape of an ear of corn, although about three times the size.

Candy corn is not well known outside the United States and Canada.
