Production on my new film starts April

Ok so this week I want to give my latest film ‘Falling’ a rest, things have slowed down a little on that whilst I am waiting for music. I will say however that I have found a track for the end from an artist named Sasha Evans, who is fantastic and the song works great.

But I would like to talk about my next project that at the moment has the title ‘Lost and Found’. This is my first horror; I have kind of jumped around in genres trying to work out which I prefer and which I do best.

From a young age horror has been one of my favorite genres of film, it is the genre I find easiest to watch. It’s the one that I think I watch the most of and in the past year alone I have watched many horror films. I try to get a range and I have to say I think a couple of my favorites are ‘Sinister’ which has amazing sound design and other is ‘VHS’ which I though was a really great idea of connecting horror shorts in to one feature.

But now more about my film! I actually blogged about it a while ago and I think and put one of the first draft scripts on here. In short it tells the story of a man who finds a camera left on a bus, strange things happen throughout his day and when he gets the pictures back later they reveal a sinister twist.

I feel like the horror genre is not an easy task and is one that is probably done bad the most. I watch more horror films that are bad than good. But with that said I think short horror films can be great, hence I think this is why I enjoyed ‘VHS’ so much.

Who does not like being scared? So I have finally decided to try it. So if your interested check out one of my old blog posts and stay tuned because filming starts in late April.

Also check out playground, the closest thing to a horror I have done.
