Provide subsidy for Chardham(holy places for Hindus) pilgrims on the lines of Haj

On Tuesday, Governor of Uttarakhand Dr. Aziz Kureshi, who remains silent in terms of responding to the Centre's affidavit in the Supreme Court, lobbied for subsidy for CharDham journey( holy for Hindus) on lines of Haj. He said the government should subsidized passenger fares for pilgrims traveling by helicopter like subsidizing muslims who go for Haj. He lobbied for air travel due to the poor condition of the roads and the sick and elderly passengers. Chief Minister Harish Rawat said he have to consider this suggestion of governor. During the program organized in Raj Bhawan, Governor refused to comment on the matter of Centre’s affidavit in Supreme Court for removal from the office. Asked by media persons in this regard, he said to ask you this question from the government. He said he is not aware of the case, it would be known by his lawyer. After the program while taking informal talks with media , he put his opinion for winter Char Dham journey. He said he already have been lobbying for Chardham Yatra to be provided by helicopter.
