One day, I just got this message when trying to log in on Skype.

Sorry, we couldn't connect to Skype. Please check your internet connection and try again.

Of course, my initial reaction was to check if there was no internet connection, but there was. So why? Hmmm..

Before letting frustration take over your soul, I say, keep calm and find out what could be the reason to the problem. Have you check your internet connection? Is your Skype version old? Then, you may want to update it to the latest version, though I believe this won't solve the problem. But it might work on you so just try it. Who knows?

Moving on, let's go over to the best and easiest solution that saved me from paranoia. I've been worried for almost two months looking for a solution and I really got mad when I knew that it's this easy!

I don't want you to get frustrated over simple problems as this that is why today, I am sharing to you! All you have to do is reset your Internet Explorer settings. Here's how:

Open your Internet Explorer browser. Yes, Skype and Internet Explorer are somehow friends. Lol. If you don't have this browser, then I have to apologize because I can't help you with that. But I believe those with no Internet Explorer browser also has their own method of solving the issue. Don't lose hope!

Moving on, go to Tools or you can press (Alt+X) on your keyboard for Windows. Select Internet Options or simply press letter (o). A small window will pop-up and so select Advanced located on the tabs section. Click the Reset button, you should see the button below the Restore Advanced Settings button. A warning window would pop-up asking for the reset confirmation. Click on Reset and wait for a few seconds for it to process the reset. Click Close and restart your computer. Now open your Skype and log in. Congratulations!

Here's a video if you want to watch it too!
