Fish Thoran 

All you need:

Ingredients                                                         Quantity

Smelt Fish  (sut in small)                                       20 nos

Chilly                                                                       4- 5 nos

Stalks of Curry leaves                                           2 nos

Onions ( preferred small as seen in pic)            2-4 nos

Coconut grated                                                     1 cup

ginger sliced small 

Garcinia gummi gutta (Kudampuli)                     2 -3 bos

Turmeric                                                                 2 tspoon

Oil

Salt

 

Preparation 

  1. Set the pan in medium heat and add the oil.
  2. Once the oil is smoking hot add the mustard seeds and wait for them to pop.
  3. Add the ginger, curry leaves & onions and saute it.
  4. Add pulli ,grated coconut and turmeric powder and saute it.
  5. Add the fish pieces. and lil water. Cook it for about 15 mins in medium heat.
  6. Once it starts simmering, add the salt. .
