The Rice Cake
Ingredients are:
- Rice 2 cups
- Boiled rice 1 cup
- Dry fruits
- Yeast a pinch
- jaggery
- grated coconut - 2 cup
- cardamon powder
- salt
Method
- Soak 2 cup rice overnight and grind it in the morning along with one cup cooked rice,grated coconut and boiled rice. Keep aside the batter.
- Soak the yeast in hot water.
- Melt the jaggery and keep aside.
- Now take the batter and add yeast, melted Jaggery, pinch of salt, cardamon powder and roasted nuts.
- Keep it for a day or 8 to 12 hrs to ferment.
- once ferment. Take container of your choice to steam it. I used idly plates.Yammy Rice cake is ready .
