The Rice Cake 

 

Ingredients are:

  • Rice 2 cups
  • Boiled rice 1 cup
  • Dry fruits
  • Yeast a pinch
  • jaggery  
  • grated coconut - 2 cup
  • cardamon powder
  • salt

Method

  •  Soak 2 cup rice overnight and grind it in the morning along with one cup cooked rice,grated coconut and boiled rice. Keep aside the batter.
  • Soak the yeast in hot water.
  • Melt the jaggery and keep aside.
  • Now take the batter and add yeast, melted Jaggery, pinch of salt, cardamon powder and roasted nuts.
  • Keep it for a day or 8 to 12 hrs to ferment.
  • once ferment. Take container of your choice to steam it. I used idly plates.Yammy Rice cake is ready .
