Ingredients Quantity
Pigeon Peas (dal) 1 cup
Onions 1 sliced
Turmeric Powder a pinch
Green Chilly 2-3 nos choped
Curry leaves 10- 12
Ginger 1 1/2 inc sliced
Garlic 6-7 nos sliced
Mustard seed 1/2 tspn
Cumin seeds 1 tspn
3 cups of water to pressure cook dal
Palak (Spinach)choped thin 1 bunch
Oil
Salt
Process:
Boil Dal in pressure cooker with ginger, garlic, spinach, chopped green chilly and turmeric powder for about 10 whistles. Once the dal is cooked mash the dal and keep it aside.
Take another pan and heat oil. Add mustard seeds, wait till it pops. Add curry leaves and onions.Keep stirring till it gets light brown. Add red chilly. Mix Dal in this pan. Mix it well. Add salt to taste.
Add water depending upon the consistency of dal and bring it to boil.
Garnish PALAK DAL FRY with lil corainder leaves. Serve it hot with rice or even with paratas.
