Here is a nice recipe of Paneer curry which goes best with Indian Chapaties. Once tried I bet you will try again. All those tofu lovers here I go .....
Ingredients Quantity
- Tofu 200 gms
- Green peas 1 cup soak overnight
- Onions 3 nos
- Ginger Garlic Paste 4 spoon
- Garlic Powder 1 spoon
- Coconut Milk 1 Cup
- Bay leaf 1 nos
- cardamon (black) 1 nos
- Cardamon (green) 1 nos
- cumin seeds 1 tspoon
- Star Anise 1 nos
- Mace 1 nos
- Cinnamon Stick 1 small stick
- Fennel Seeds 1 tbspoon
- Coconut Milk 1 cup
- Tomato 1 nos
- Chilly powder 1 tbspoon
- Coriander Powder 1 tbspoon
- Oil 6 tbspoon
- Potato 1 nos
- Fresh Coriander leaves chopped
Preparation
At first heat a pan and put all the gram masala(cardamon,cumin seeds,star anise, mase, cinnamon stick, fennel seeds) in a pan and keep stirring for 2 mins. Take it off the stove, let it cool and grind all the masala and keep aside.
Heat oil and add bay leaf,add chopped onions. Fry well until it turns brown.
Add chilly powder and coriander powder fry for 4 mins and add tomato chopped .
stir for 5-7 mins. Add Ginger Garlic Paste and keep stirring for another 5-7 mins.
Add cut potatoes and close the lid for 5 mins and keep it in sim.
Added boiled green peas at this point of time and close the lid for another 10 mins.
At this point of time, Heat oil in another pan and add cut tufu and shallow fry it. Keep it aside to cool.
Add the Paneer/tofu to the masala now also add the gram masala now.
Add water as required bring it to boil. Add Coconut milk and again bring it to boil. Sprinkle chopped fresh coriander leaves.
Finally the yummy Paneer/ Tofu masala is ready
