Tourism

Tourism is travel for fun or for relaxing purpose.The World Tourism Organization defines tourists as people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual enviroment for not more than one year."Tourism has beome a popular global leisure activity.
Tourism, besides fun and getting relaxed, is also a great source to explore different places and things.It also enhances the confidence, because you have to talk with the people you don't know having different mental levels.Tourism also increases knowledge about the cultures and customs of different places.
Tourists are of different types in the world.Each tourist has his own choice and intrest.Some tourists like to visit historical as well as to the modern cities.Some tourist like to visit the beautiful islands.Such places are visited by the people who want to have mental peace.A few of these places are as follows:
Disneyland
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts is a part of The Walt Disney Company.These parks are estimated as the most visited places in the world and about 55 million people visit here annually.These parks are not only visited by the children, people of all ages like to visit here.
Every child in the world is familiar with the Walt Disney Characters.The most famous of them are the Mickey Mouse, Aladin and Sinbad.Their movies are also very famous and are played on different channels in the world.


Great Wall of China
Everyone is well familiar about the great wall of Chhina.The great wall of china was built, rebuilt and maintained between the 6th centuary BC and the 16th centuary.It was constructed for the purpose of protection of the northern borders of Chinese Empire.
The great wall stretches over approximately 6700 km.It has been estimated that about 2 to 3 million people died during the centuries long project of building the wall.


Eiffel Tower
The eifffel tower is an iron tower built beside the Seine River in Paris.It wasbuilt in 1889 AD. The tower is now become a global icon of France.
It i named after its designer,Gustave Eiffel.More than 200,000,000 have visited the tower since its construction.Some 6,719,200 people visited it in 2006, making it the most visited paid monument in the world.


Niagara Falls
Niagara falls are the massive waterfalls on the Niagara River.Most of the people visit herein summers.Therse falls look attractive at the daytime and evening.The number of visitors in 2009 AD was 20 million.


Lahore Fort
Lahpre fprt is located on the northwestern corner of Walled city of Lahore.Its area is over 20 hectares.It was built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar (1556 AD -1605AD).It shows the rich traditions of entire Mughal architecture.
It is locally referred to as Shahi Qila.The famous sites inside the fort are Sheesh Mahal, Alamgiri Gate, Naulakha Pavilion, and Moti Majid.


Badshahi Masjid
The Badshahi Masjid was built in 1673 AD by the Mughal Emperoe Aurangzeb in Lahore.This Masjid is capable of accomodating over 55,000 worshipers.Recently a small mesuem has also been added to the moasque complex.It contains relics of Muhammad (P.B.U.H), Hazrat Ali (R.A), and Hazrat Fatima Zahra (R.A).


Noor Mahal

This palace was built by Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan IV for his wife in 1872 AD.It is a beautiful palace built in Lahore like an Italian chateau.
Nawab Sadiq built this palace for his wife.However,she was there for only one night.It happened so that she saw the graveyard near by the palace from her balcony.She then refused to spend another night there.After this the palace remained unuse during his reign.


Kot Diji Fort
The Kot Diji Fort is about 25 miles east of the Indus River at the edge of Nara-Rajastan Desert.This fort was built by Mir Sohrab Khan Talpur and was constructed between 1785 AD and 1795 AD.
Kot Diji is constructed on a limestone hill with kiln-baked bricks.It has three strategically placed about 50 feet high towers.The fort is divided by three elephant-proof gates into three overlapping levels.
