Why Gandhi (world’s most famous non-violence messenger) did not get Noble after nomination

20th century largest priest of non-violence Gandhi repeatedly been nominated for the Nobel of peace. Nominated in 1937, 1938, 1939, 1947 and finally in January 1948 before being killed, despite have not been given the Nobel. Although the Nobel Committee publicly apologized for the mistake. Committee in 1948, the year of the death of Mahatma Gandhi by saying not worthy of any living person, has not given Peace Prize to anyone. When Nobel Peace Prize given to the Dalai Lama in 1989 then the chairman of the committee said that it be a part of this tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

 

All Nobel Prize except Nobel peace prize are given in Stockholm, Sweden. Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway. Nobel Prize founder Alfred Nobel were residents of Sweden. In his will, he announced that the Nobel Peace Prize given by a Norwegian committee. When Alfred Nobel were alive Norway and Sweden were under a single monarch. In 1905 Norway became an independent state.

 

Activist working for children's rights in India Kailash Satyarthi and Pakistan’s social activist Malala Usufjai jointly won the Nobel Peace Prize for 2014. Satyarthi after Mother Teresa became the second Indian to win the Nobel Peace Prize and  Malala of Pakistan has become the youngest winner of the prize.
