Why You Eat Carrots?

I have this aim that I should eat any kind of raw vegetable daily and I found carrots to be the easiest way to munch on. I haven't found any other vegetable which is easy to store and easy to eat without added dressing or sauce. And today, I tried to search on the benefits of carrots. 

1. good for the eyes.

Carrots are rich in Beta Carotene which has also been shown to protect against macular degeneration and senile cataracts.

2. prevents cancer.

Falcarinol is a natural pesticide produced by the carrot that protects its roots from fungal diseases. This reduce the risk of lung cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer.

I had read a story about this woman her husband died of cancer after sessions of Chemo. She was diagnosed after a few years of cancer too. She was alone and she decided not to go through the same process. She went researching and found a blog story about a guy diagnosed with cancer who drank 2.5 liters of carrot juice everyday. This had reverted his body and he was cancer free. She did the same thing and after a few months, she was declared cancer free too.

3. anti aging.

The high level of beta-carotene acts as an antioxidant to cell damage done to the body through regular metabolism.  It help slows down the aging of cells.

4. prevents heart disease.

Carrots have not only beta-carotene but also alpha-carotene and lutein. The regular consumption of carrots also reduces cholesterol levels because the soluble fibers in carrots bind with bile acids.

5 teeth and gums friendly.

Carrots stimulate gums and  trigger a lot of saliva, which being alkaline, balances out the acid-forming, cavity-forming bacteria.  The minerals in carrots prevent tooth damage.
