European Union and Its Different Treaties

Introduction

       The european union is a union of twenty five independent states based on the european communities and founded to enhance political,economic and social cooperation formerly known as european communities are European economic community(EEC).

       European union was founded by six states and the community was enlarged for the first time in 1973 and in 1981 and in 1986,1995 and in 2004.

The treaty of Rome.

       The first land mark two international after the formation of eruopen coal and steel community was achieved with the treaty of Rome which come into effect on first of January 1958 in the treaty the six member states created to new organization.

1.Euratom.

      The european atomic energy community was formed to co-ordinate nuclear power development by pooling research invornement and management in that area.

2.EEC.

    The second organization was the european economic community.It stood for the elimination of all obstacles to the free movment of goods,services,capitals and labour between member states and the establishment of common policies in the sphere of agriculture and transport and a common external commercial policy.

The Maastricht treaty.

     The Maastricht treaty of 1991 remained europen union and called for a singal currancy and military and political integration.That is to work for a common foreign policy and joint defence mechanism.The treaty after having a tough time for ratification in some number states extend into force on first Novebemer 1973.

The Amesterdam Treaty.

      The Amesterdam treaty signed on October 1997 made certain amendment to the treaty on european union and the treaty established european currency.In the economic side it describes the challanges and practiculation of extending the scope of common commercial policy to include international agreements on services and intellecetual properties rights.on the side of common foreign and security policy(CFSP),It calls for improved and simplified funding system for common foreign and security policy(CFSP) abd the creation of the high representative for common foreign and security policy(CFSP).

The Nice treaty.

      The treaty of nice signed 21,february 2001 calls for some changing in the voting system and inclusion of new members and the union of european union.This treaty has however not been ratified by all the member states.

Structure.

     The european union headquarter stationed at Brussels euopean union according to the Maastricth treaty of 1991 has a pillar structure second pillar is the common foreign and security policy(CFSP) and the third is justice and home affairs(JHA).The community pillar is further divided into the following institutions.

1. The Europen commission.

2. The council of miniters.

3. The Europen concil.

4. The Europen parliament.

5. The Europen court of justice and court of Audotors.

The common Market.

    The European union since the time the community was formed in 1950 has helped the member states a lot in improving their per capital GNP and the living standards with the help of reduction of barriers to regional free trade,Which not only made the time exploit large economies but also improve their competitive strength.The Europen currency helped to co-ordinate the trade policies of the memebrs states for greater efficiency and competitive-ness at the time when it was facing threats from strong economy like that of US and JAPAN.It is argued that this arragnementis not only facilitated intra-Europen union trade but has also helped improve the trade relation of the organization with the rest of the world.

    In the field of trade,integration common market eruopean union had achieved land marks and will continous to benefit its member states through the erupean adoption and un period ability related with it con,t be ruled out.This take of eruopean union will become more entered and difficult with the adoption of eruopean the surrender of the very sovereign right of currency not by the states.
