Farming is an old occupation and it is the chief and most important source of food supply for human beings.
Farming is now a days much better than before because man learnt new methods and invent new instruments for this field.
Before sowing the seed, the hard surface of the field is made soft through ploughing.
In the old method of farming, ploughing is done with the help of bullocks.
After ploughing the clods are broken with the help of harrow.
Once the surface of the soil becomes soft and smooth, the seed is sown in it.Regular weeding and hoeing are done in order to keep the soil soft and clear.
The growth and maturity of crops depends upon climate, fertility of soil, quality of seed and proper supply of water.

In modern farming a lot of machinery is used. use of machines not only saves a lot of time but also reduces the labour of farmers.
