As we know Pakistan is an agricultural country.Much of the land in Pakistan is not very fertile. Punjab is the best area for crops because of its fertile soil.
There are two types of crops
1. Kharif Crops
    Kharif crops are grown in summer.These are cotton, rice, maize and millets.
2.Rabi Crops In winter we grow rabi crops.These are wheat, gram, masoor and mustard

Wheat
Wheatt grows well in places that have mild temperature and small amount of rainfall.This crops is sown in October and November and harvested in April and May.



Rice
Rice grows well in warm places having plenty of moisture.It is mostly grown in Punjab and SIndh.

Maize
Maize grows in warm places with moderate rainfall.The maize growing region is KPK.



Millet
Two important millets Jowar and Bajra can grow even in poor soils with very little water.


Cotton
Cotton is our leading export.cotton likes high temperature and moderate rainfall.



Sugar Cane
Sugar and gur are made from sugar cane. Sugar cane needs high temperature and plenty of water.It is grown in Punjab, Sindh And KPK.



Tobacco
Tobacco is cash crops like sugar cane,The best tobacco growing areas are Mardan and Peshawar,
