Traditionaly jirga is in instruction of  islamic sharia and it frist come from afgahnistan that,s why Jirga or jirgha is a pashto word which means the elders comes to gather and take discussion about any problem.In other word we can say that jirgha is a assembly where group of elders peoples from a specific area combine for to take discussion.Basically the jirgha system started from 1709 A.D it started by mirwais khan hotaki thats called loya jirga.this jirgha is take palced in khandhar and the jirgha take place for one day under the approval of government of gorgin of afghanistan . Jirga contain group of peoples.                               The jirgha system is in all over the Pakistan and also in India.In pakistan in the tribal area ,khayber pakhtokhawa and in gilgit baltistan area its called jirgha and in other part of pakistan like punjab,sindh ,bolochistan and in India  its called panchayat.In punjab and in India the discussion maker are select through proper elections while in tribal area , khabar pakhtokhwa  and gilgit baltistan area the peoples select own elder in own specific area.

 

1. If any body have any problem means if two groups have any problem in any point and fight with each other in such case the people of that area call jirga for to solve the problem of both if both party agree to call jirga after this that,s necessary on both to accept the discussion of jirga the discussion may be good for one party and may be not for other one or some time good for both so discussion take place according to the situation after hearing both party point of view.The  jirgha held may be in any open ground or in any hall.
2. Some peoples says jirga is very good and healthy for to resolve the problems of peoples because due to jirga system the peoples accept each other after a huge or small fight.so they think the jirgha system is very good for the peace of any area but in other hand some people who,s thinking are like scholars they still say jirga is dark rule they think due to jirga the discussion are not according to the rule of laws. but in other hand if the jirga contain the group of nice and honest peoples then every discussion is according to the sharia which is acceptable for all.
3. As we know that in tribal areas of pakistan like few part of south waziristan is under control of taliban. In south waziristan the fight start between pak army and taliban so last few month the peoples of south wazirstan and khayber pakhton khawa called jirga to find out the result and tried to come both party in one point to bring peace again so as a result the dialog between pak government and taliban started in such period both partied stopped attacked on each other but later the dialog process stopped so know again the pak army doing operation.so the jirga still try to bring peace in south waziristan.

      So for peace jirgha is very important but the jirga discussion is must be under the sharia Law and rules.
