Martin Luther king Jr, an African American boy, was born on 15th January,1929 in Atlanta, Georgia.

 He graduated from Boston University. He married Coretta Scott and was blessed with two daughters and two sons.

In his childhood, Martin faced a kind of social boycott just because of his black colour. He observed that black people are still treated as slaves. He spent his entire life fighting for the rights of black people.

 He headed many civil right movements like “Bus Boycott”. Because of his tireless struggle he was given the “MAN OF THE YEAR” award by Times Magazine.

                                               I HAVE A DREAM

On 28th august, 1963 he addressed more than 250,000 people at Washington DC. The main idea of his speech was justice and equality. Poetically and confidently, he raised voice for victims of racism.

In his speech, he explained his dream to the world that was peace and equality all around. He shaked the racist community and told everyone that people should not be judged by their colour but by their character.

 He was assassinated on 4th April, 1968 but still he is remembered for his struggle against racism.
