Pakistan has a number of rivers. The western and northern parts of Pakistan have many mountains. In the north, Pakistan has snow-covered mountains some of which are the highest peaks in the world. A group of mountains is called a range.

      The eastern part of Pakistan has plains. Pakistan has many rivers. The Indus River is the longest river of Pakistan which starts from the snow -topped mountains in the north and ends in the Arabian Sea to the south.

       Jhelam, chenab, ravi, Sutlej and kabul are the other main rivers Pakistan.
