PRAYER

Prayer is the second pillar of  Islam. It should be offered times a day at home, or in congregation in the mosque. Prayer is an act of worship to Allah. in prayer, we stand before Him and talk to Him. We thank Him and glorify Him. We ask for His guidance and help. We ask    Him to keep us on the right path and to bless us with His mercy.

Payer is the first duty of a Muslim. The first question that Allah will ask us on the Day of Judgement would be about prayers.

The Holy Prophet Salalaho Alehe Wasallam said: "Whoever gives up prayer has indeed disbelieved."

Prayer is a practical way of showing our  faith in Allah. It is a sign of obedience to Him. It helps us ti build a strong character. It helps us to live a good and disciplined life. It makes us clean and healthy. It purifies us and protects us from evil thoughts and deeds.

By offering prayers regularly, we are able to remember Allah at different times of the day. This brings us nearer to Allah. Prayer was very dear to the Holy Prophet Salalaho Alehe Wasallam. He said: "Prayer has been made a coolness for my eyes." He stressed upon the Muslims to say their prayers regularly. A Muslim child should start offering prayers at the age of seven. Prayers becomes compulsory at the age of twelve.

Allah loves good Muslims. You cannot be a good Muslim if you don`t pray. Wemust pray to be good. Allah will reward us for our prayers in life after death.
