The HOLY QURAN is the sacred book of Muslims. It has been send by ALLAH to guide us for all times to come. The QURAN is the word of ALLAH. It was revealed to the (Holy Prophet) HAZRAT MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHO ALEHE WASSALLAM through angel Jibrael. It is in Arabic language.

         The HOLY QURAN was revealed to the Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHO ALEHE WASSALLAM in twenty three years. Whenever the Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHO ALEHE WASSALLAM got a revelation, he would recite it to his companions. Those companions who could read and write would write it down. Some of them laernt it by heart.

         The first revelation of the HOLY QURAN came to the Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHO ALEHE WASSALAM in the month of Ramadan. The Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHO ALLAHE WASSALLAM was preying in the cave of Hira. He was forty years old at that time.

          ALLAH has asked us to read the QURAN, understand its meaning and follow its teachings. We will be happy and successful if we obey ALLAH"S Commands which are given in the QURAN.

           You should read the QURAN daily. ALLAH will reward you for it. The Holy Prophet MUHAMMAD SALLALLAHO ALEHE WASSALLAM said: "The best of you is he who has learnt the QURAN and teaches it to others."
