Sources of energy

Posted on at

The economy of a country depends upon the sources of the energy and the development of a country is also depended to the amount of energy present in it. There are many sources of obtaining the energy but the main three sources are hydro energy, thermal energy and nuclear energy.

The hydro energy source is best and cheapest method of obtaining energy and used for the production of energy on the large scale. This energy is obtained from the water and for this purpose the dames are made and then the turbines are fixed in front of dames and those turbines generate the electrical power energy. That energy is then supplied to the industries and the economy of a country increases.

The second source is the thermal source. In this process the burning of fuel is taken place and the energy is obtained. In Pakistan there are two organizations that are working in production of energy. That is WAPDA and KESC. This source of energy is mostly used in Punjab and and helps to run the small business and for the domestic use.

The third source of energy is nuclear energy. In Pakistan the first power station is established at Karachi in 1971. The main objective of this power station is to overcome the increasing demand of the energy in the country. In this plant the uranium is used as fuel and another nuclear plant is being setup at chashma.  Pakistan will have to establish few more atomic power plants to meets the needs for the electricity in the country.
