Crowdsourcing is the practice of obtaining needed services, ideas, or content by soliciting contributions from a large group of people, and especially from an online community, rather than from traditional employees or suppliers.

Accessing Internet has changed people's life for decades. They can easily communicate and share the information any where they are located quickly, more transparent and efficient. Data is like the fuel for crowdsourcing, while exchanging information plays a very critical role specially in developing countries to increase and improve their social and virtual presence. feeding crowdsourcing in a society is like to decrease the level of poverty.

Education is the key for developing countries specially in Afghanistan with the minimum rate of literacy particularly among women, It is really important how we can connect crowdsourcing with education and influence the way of educating young generation in Afghanistan.

Internet and Social media can put them together and make the process easier. The point is to find a way to enable people to collaborate and exchange ideas, give the opportunity to help others and start learning updated contents.

One example of crowdsourcing in Afghanistan can be the Afghan Development Project Initiative that is going to connect education with social media. It's first step is to connect 40 schools in Herat, and 160,000 Afghan children to as many or more schools in Europe and USA. Social media will give a face and voice to the future of Afghanistan, Europe, USA, and the rest of the World.

Another example is Women's Annex that promotes and supports women's empowerment with videos, instructional programs, and blog stories about education, arts, business, sports, and a variety of other topics. With over 35,000 professional films and videos on its platform.

crowdfunding is also can be mentioned as a part of crowdsourcing. It describes the collective effort of individuals who network and pool their money, usually via the Internet, to support efforts initiated by other people or organizations.

Special Needs Activity Center for Kids (SNACK) is an exmaple of crowdfunding to fill the void in the lives of kids with autism. This is obvious that using recent technology using social and digital media will help people even living thousands miles away to think in a same direction and collaborate with each other.
